Reading Emily Henry’s novels is the newest trend among book lovers.
Her novels have taken over the literature world, with ‘Beach Read’ spending over twelve weeks on the New York Times Bestsellers List.
Henry has published a

total of six books, the most recent being ‘Book Lovers’, released in May 2022. She is best known for her novels, ‘Beach Read and ‘People We Meet on Vacation’.
Beach Read was released in 2020 and immediately took the book community by storm. This book centers around Augustus Everett and January Andrews, two acclaimed authors with terrible cases of writer's block, on vacation in neighboring beach houses. Augustus and January are polar opposites who write different genres; Augustus writes devastating literary fiction while January writes swoon-worthy romance. However, one day, they strike a deal to attempt to write a novel in the other’s preferred genre…but both of them don’t expect to fall in love.
I read this book when it was first released, expecting another mediocre romance novel, but was utterly blown away. This book single-handedly has the power to make one believe in true love. The writing style
of this novel was addicting, hilarious, and witty. The characters were complex and intricately written, and I fell in love with them. In fact, I wanted to reread this book just as soon as I finished it!
A unique aspect of Emily Henry’s books I was impressed with, especially in this novel, was how it touched on so many deeper issues regarding adulthood, relationships, love, trust, and death.
After reading Beach Read, I can confidently say I have an all-time favorite contemporary romance novel! If I were ever to become a romance writer, I hope I would be similar to Emily Henry in every way.
Emily Henry’s most recent book, Book Lovers, is another perfect romance novel. This book revolves around two book editors - and rivals - Nora Stephens and Charlie Lastra. Charlie is the last person Nora expected to run into during her vacation in Sunshine Falls, North Carolina, but after a series of coincidences bring the two together over and over again, it might be love.
This book may have been my most anticipated release this year, and I was not disappointed! The general consensus from the book community is that this book is Emily Henry’s best yet, and I completely agree with that statement.
Our heroine Nora Stephens is complex and hilarious and maybe the most relatable fictional character ever written. Charlie is sarcastic and grumpy, but fits her like a puzzle piece. The chemistry and banter between these two were incredible, and I loved the flow of this book.
Another part of this book that I adored was the dual plot
lines focusing on Nora's sister and Charlie's families. Personally, I do not like books that just focus on a romantic plot, but prefer ones with multiple characters and storylines.
Emily Henry is a book lover who writes novels for other book lovers, which makes her stand out to me. Her books are written with immense love and prose that captures the reader's heart. Every single one of her books is a ‘must read’, and are perfect for kicking off summer.
